Metro Glass Products is a Canadian owned company based in Calgary, Alberta that was founded in 1971. It has grown to become a major supplier/subcontractor in the commercial glass industry in Calgary and Southern Alberta providing high quality glass and aluminum products to the construction industry. After 45 years at its original location several years ago Metro Glass moved to its current state of the art location with 26,000SF of manufacturing plant and office space to better serve its customers. Metro has developed its own extrusions and we manufacture many lines of commercial aluminum doors, frames, windows and vents. As an additional service, we stock high quality door hardware for our own use and for reselling to door and window services providers.
Metro Glass manufactures high quality aluminum doors and windows for new and retrofit commercial buildings. We supply to a large number of glass shops in Calgary and Southern Alberta. We are also a recognized subcontractor taking on projects within the same region.
Management and Staff
Led by James Ironhall, dynamic and young new owner/president, the Metro Glass management team has over 125 years of combined experience in the commercial glass industry. From plant workers to installers, our employees are fully trained experts at what they do and they are committed to making product quality and customer service their top priority in everything that we do.
From design and production to installation and after care, our management and staff focus on delivering custom made and standard size products to our customers in the shortest possible time frames with the highest quality. Manufacturing
Aluminum and Glass Products
Metro Glass produces a full range of top quality glass and aluminum products for new and renovation retrofit commercial buildings such as stores, malls, warehouses, and office buildings.
Our products include operable vent windows, curtain wall systems, sliding doors, store fronts, windows, frames, doors, vents, and custom designed products.
Metro Glass has strict manufacture codes and compliance guidelines for our products and workmanship. In shop final approval of finished products and procedures ensure that we delivery the best quality, value and reliability. We provide all of our customers and projects with 2 years warranty on all of our aluminum products and workmanship and 5 years warranty on glass (when installed properly and used for the intended purpose).
Plant Capacity
Our modern state of the art plant with 26,000 SF in space is located at the most convenient NW corner of Deerfoot Trail and Country Hills Blvd, Calgary, AB. The new plant is equipped with CNC Routing Machines for aluminum door and frame cutouts, Curtain Wall CNC Double MITRE Cut- ting Saw, Double MITRE Precision Cutting Saw for windows and vents, High Efficiency Digital Corner Stake Cutting Saw etc. In addition to these highly digital precision machines, we have a strong, long term and highly skilled assembly line, our fabricators work well together to produce the best aluminum products in the industry, which leads to shorter lead times.
Metro has recently expanded with 9,000SF of nearby off-site storage. We now carry significantly more inventory of our thermally broken proprietary extrusions to further enable industry pace setting short lead times.
